What is Lifeline?

Did you know that you can save $10 off your monthly phone or internet bill (with participating providers)?

Lifeline is a federal program dedicated to making phone and internet service more affordable for low-income households.

This benefit provides eligible consumers with a monthly discount of up to $9.25.

Consumers living on Tribal lands are eligible for an enhanced discount of up to $34.25 per month.

What is a household?

A group of people who live together and share money even if they are not related to each other.

Only 1 monthly benefit per household.

How do I know if my internet provider participates in the Lifeline discount?

Ask your selected phone or internet company for assistance submitting your application. You may be able to apply though the company’s website, if they make that option available.

Who Qualifies?
  • Medicaid/SNAP Recipients
  • Income (135% of Federal poverty guidelines)
  • WIC Recipients
  • Resident of Federal public housing
  • Veterens Pension/Survivors Benefit
  • SSI Recipient
  • Federal Pell Grant Recipient
