Launching a Telehealth Program

Telehealth/telemedicine services should be viewed in a manner mirroring those provided in-person.  Telemedicine services are services that should complement the quality of care being offered.  The focus should always remain on how the services will benefit the patient.  Telehealth should be easily integrated, considering the various standards, guidelines, and practice policies.  Telemedicine should never impact the provider’s practice in a negative aspect.
