Kathy has been a part of Palmetto Care Connections since its inception in 2010. As the Executive Director, she oversees current programs and the strategic plan for PCC. With more than 20 years of rural healthcare experience, Kathy believes telehealth is one solution to improving the health of South Carolina. Kathy received her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina (USC) and her Master in Health Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC).

Davia W. Smith, MHA
Davia joined the Palmetto Care Connections team in February 2014 as the Executive Assistant. Since then she has evolved into the Education Coordinator while still assisting the Executive Director with administrative tasks. As the Education Coordinator, Davia coordinates PCC’s Annual Telehealth Summit, Regional Meetings, and Webinars. She is also responsible for PCC’s Marketing and Promotion. Davia earned an undergraduate degree in Business Administration at the University of South Carolina Aiken. She is also a 2012 graduate of the Master in Health Administration program at the University of South Carolina’s Arnold School of Public Health.

Matt joined the Palmetto Care Connections Team in 2015. In his role as the Technology Director, Matt manages technology solutions such as PCC's USAC Healthcare Connect Fund Program. Matt also manages all Telehealth equipment Presales/purchase/installation/training/ongoing support for the rural communities of South Carolina. Matt brings a wealth of knowledge to the team with over 20 years of IT experience. It is Matt’s goal to listen first then proceed with a plan to help provide technology solutions that work for the end user and not the end user working for the technology.

Harriett joined the Palmetto Care Connections Team in July of 2018 as the Executive Assistant. Harriett provides administrative support to our managers and employees to complete the organization's strategies and goals. Harriett will also be assisting with Marketing and Communications activities. She is currently pursuing her degree in Business.

Telehealth Clinical Coordinator
Stacey recently joined our PCC team in May 2018. In her role as the Telehealth Clinical Coordinator, Stacey will be serving as a point of contact for telemedicine activities in Rural Health Clinics, Behavioral Health Sites and Schools. She will be assisting with telehealth equipment training and how to better utilize telehealth services in the healthcare setting. Stacey has been a nurse for over ten years. She received her Associate Degree in Nursing at Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College. Stacey looks forward to working in our rural communities in order to increase access to healthcare through the use of telehealth services and ultimately improving the health of others.

Ethan joined the Palmetto Care Connections team in the summer of 2017 as the Technology Analyst. He maintains the Palmetto State Providers Network (PSPN) inventory and the statewide broadband database. He also assists with telehealth technology solutions such as equipment installation, support, and maintenance. Ethan completed his Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Marketing at the University of South Carolina (USC). He is currently studying Health Administration at USC's Arnold School of Public Health.
